The process of fertilization and natural conception:
Fertilisation takes place when a live sperm from the male successfully fuses with the newly released mature egg of the female and the process of cell division starts. The embryo then travels down the fallopian tube and implants itself in the uterus wall where it grows into a baby. Thus results pregnancy.
What causes infertility?
Infertility may be due to a problem in the male or the female or in both partners. In some rare cases the cause of infertility cannot be diagnosed to either of the spouses. This is known as unexplained infertility.
